How this calculator works

Why working days matter

Notice periods, probation and leave are usually counted in calendar days, but payroll, project deadlines and some HR policies use working days. This tool counts both.

Weekends in the UAE

Since January 2022 the federal government works Monday to Friday, with Saturday and Sunday off. Private companies choose their own weekend: many follow Saturday and Sunday, while others give Friday only, or Friday and Saturday. Pick your own weekend days in the calculator.
